If you dont have a trailer but have a vehicle that can tow. You can purchase a tow bar and a set of magnetic tow lights and bring it with you and I will help you install the tow bar. I have all the tools here needed to drill and bolt it to the bumper. Please do your research on how to flat tow because the jeep will need to be in gear and the transmission 4wd has to be put into a certain position. So PLEASE do your research on how to properly flat tow if you would like to transport via this method.
The jeep does need some work to be back on the road. It was our daily driver for over 3 years. It has the 2.5L with ax5 transmission. I just finished doing a timing chain job. The timing chain had some extra stretch and I just wanted to change it while I was doing other work to the jeep. Had issues with it cutting off and found out that an exhaust leak at the back of the manifold caused the crank position sensor wires to melt. Changed that and now I dont have spark. I could have just replaced it with a bad sensor. (purchased sensor from Amazon, so there is no telling) or the coil could be bad or I could have put the distributor in slightly wrong. It is probably something simple. List of what has been done so far. New alternator. New timing chain with tensioner and gears. New harmonic balancer. New CPU and programed to the vin, New fuel pump, plus an easy access door so you dont have to drop the tank to maintain in the future. New exhaust with stainless header, stainless muffler and new cat converter. New o2 sensors, Almost every sensor has been replaced, the crank position, throttle body sensors, etc... (only sensor I dont think I replaced is the temp sensor which I knew was good) Has a newer OEM radiator, new steel plate rear bumper with built in hitch. New speakers in dash and sound bar, new cd player with Bluetooth, top has been replaced with a soft top. (It is too hot here in the south to keep the black hard top. So we traded it for the soft top so we could open it up and be able to breath some (it will need a new driver door upper skin at some point). New plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor button and sensor in distributor. Has new contoured rubber floor mats. New mirrors. We put on a simple black tire cover because the spare does not match, it is a factory jeep rim. 4 wheel drive works good. All new axles all the way around about two years ago after having a new clutch put in with new pressure plate/flywheel. New high lift jack with hood mount brackets. New front Hooke fender liners (new, not installed). I just purchased a new electric fan to replace the old clutch fan. (we have lots of feral cats and it was installed for safety). Installed proper turn signals below the head lights since the flat fenders only have small dot lights. Mounted them where it would look like CJ style turn signals.
To drive the Jeep, you will need to figure out the no spark situation and then wire up the new fan. Comes with wiring harness with relay. Will eventually need shocks (they are stock height). Tires are at around 30% left (31 inch tires, would not go larger with the 4 cylinder). Perfectly even tread wear, the jeep will also track perfectly going down the highway. Can drive with one finger with no wobble and can let go of the steering wheel on a straight stretch of highway without it wanting to pull one way or the other. One reason we loved it so much. Does have some minor rust holes in the body. bottom of the rocker towards the back of the foot step. Probably where the roof leaked over time. The rust that was behind the fender flares on the front fenders were completely cut off when the flat fenders were installed. The frame has the repair sections welded on. So that issue has been fixed prior to us getting it.
